The Fond du Lac County Finance committee got some good news this week regarding the budget amid the coronavirus pandemic. County board chairman and finance committee member Marty Farrell says no major shortfalls or layoffs are anticipated in the budget that will be presented next month by the county executive. Farrell says the county has added a lot of staff, primarily in the Health Department, working as contact tracers during the pandemic. Meanwhile, Farrell says overall county government has been able to function well since the outbreak started last spring.
