The Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership has launched a COVID-19 grant program to assist downtown businesses impacted by the pandemic and governor’s order closing all non-essential businesses. Downtown Partnership executive director Amy Hansen says downtown businesses that meet the criteria have until 5pm Friday to apply for a grant up to $5000. Hansen says a handful of downtown businesses are still operating during the Order, but the bigger question, is how many won’t be able to reopen and survive when the restrictions are eventually lifted?
