Fond du Lac County Clerk Lisa Freiberg says thousands of people who requested absentee ballots have yet to return them. “I look at the numbers out there and these ballots are not coming back,” Freiberg told WFDL news. “For Fond du Lac County 17,690 ballots have sent out and only 8,500 have been returned (as of Friday).” Freiberg says more people will vote in the spring election by absentee ballot than in person. She says that has never happened before.
