Fond du Lac residents can get tax assistance at the Salvation Army. Tax- Aide is a program sponsored by AARP & IRS that provides FREE personal income tax assistance and FREE e-filing to low to moderate income taxpayers with emphasis on people over age 50. Last year, the program filed 850 returns. The first opportunities to schedule appointments for Tax-Aide services are Jan. 30 and 31 from 1:30 – 4 pm. Appointments are required and must be made in person so you can pick up a material kit and fill it out before you meet with the tax preparer.
