A Fond du Lac man is expected to be charged this week in a shooting incident that sent an Oshkosh man to the hospital.
Assistant police chief Steve Klein told WFDL news the 70 year old wheelchair bound man is accused of shooting a 49 year old Oshkosh man in the torso at an East Division Street residence Sunday evening.  “We do believe there were some comments made that upset the 70 year old and it sounds like at that point he took out a firearm and shot the victim,”  Klein told WFDL news.  “It did occur during the (Green Bay) Packer game, but no indication it was a result of the Packer game.”
The Oshkosh man was flown by helicopter to Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee with what were described as serious but non life-threatening injuries.  Klein says the suspect was arrested without incident and faces charges of endangering safety with use of a dangerous weapon and first degree recklessly endangering safety.
