The Waupun Common Council has approved a proposal to allow use of ATVs and UTVs on Waupun city streets. The ordinance sets the hours of use from 6am to 10pm, speed limits from 25 mph to a high of no more than 35 mph and prohibition of carrying open intoxicants. ATVs must be equipped with headlights and brake lights. Drivers must be 16 or older and are required to carry a card indicating they have received safety training. The vehicles will be able to legally operate on city streets and city-owned property connecting Waupun to area trails and other routes.
