10-22-19 long prison sentence for rubicon man convicted of 5th owi, intimidating victim

A Rubicon man is going to prison for his fifth OWI and threatening to kill a woman.  Fifty four year old Earl Captain was sentenced to ten years in prison and placed on probation for three years.   Captain was convicted of  Operating while Under the Influence 5th offense,  felony Intimidation of a Victim and Felony Bail Jumping.  In October 2018, Officers arrived at Captain’s  residence after receiving a phone call from a women who claimed that Captain was drunk, had hit her, pointed a firearm at her, destroyed many belongings in the home and had threatened to kill her if she contacted police.    Police say less than two months after posting bond, Captain showed up at the victim’s residence drunk and armed with a firearm.   A few months later Captain was arrested for his 5th OWI.
