The Fond du Lac Salvation Army has announced it’s winter assistance and warming shelter schedule. Winter coat and Christmas assistance sign-ups will be held October 17 and 19 at the Salvation Army on North Macy Street. You may donate new and gently used winter coats for kids starting September 23 through October 18. Meal item collections for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners will be accepted starting September 23, and Toys for Tots gift drive will start October 25. The Salvation Army Warming Shelter will open its doors for the winter season November first. The overnight shelter will remain open through April 1.
