Two Waupun men have been indicted in federal court for their alleged role in three armed bank robberies in Wisconsin. The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Milwaukee says 36 year old Justin S. Smith, and 35 year old William D. Balgie, are accused of robbing the National Exchange Bank and Trust in Allenton on April 8, Cornerstone Bank in Menomonee Falls on June 17 and National Exchange Bank and Trust in Glenbeulah on Aug. 9. If convicted, they each face up to 25 years in prison for each count.
