5-23-19 fdl police make arrests in connection with shooting incidents last month

Two Fond du Lac men have been arrested in connection with shooting incidents last month in the city of Fond du Lac.  Assistant police chief Steve Klein says the suspects, ages 18 and 29 were arrested last night in connection with the shooting incidents in the 100 block of E. 2nd Street and at a residence on Morris Street near Military Road.  Police were called to the area of 137 E 2nd St. at about 10:39 p.m. on Thursday April 25, 2019 for a report of possible gun shots heard in the area. Officers did not locate any evidence of shots being fired at the time. While recanvasing the area the next morning,  Officers discovered damage to a vehicle on the street in the area of 159 E 2nd St and recovered a shell casing.  Police were also called to the area of Morris Street near Military Road at about 2 a.m. on Friday April 26, 2019 where shots were fired into a home.  Klein says its fortunate that nobody was hurt in either incident and says it’s a relief to have the suspects in custody.  Both suspects face charges of endangering safety by reckless use of a weapon and criminal damage to property.
