5-23-19 woman drives around johnson street barricade into wet concrete

(Facebook photo: Rick Braun)  A hiccup in a construction project this week on a portion of West Johnson Street in Fond du Lac.    Public Works director Jordan Skiff says the woman drove around  the barricades on West Johnson Street near Seymour Street and got stuck in freshly poured wet pavement.  Skiff says Public Works crews were yelling for her to stop, and whether she didn’t hear or didn’t understand she drove into the wet concrete.  “Fortunately it (concrete) was wet enough our crew was able to restore it and so it wasn’t completely lost but certainly an unfortunate thing especially for her,”  Skiff told WFDL news.  A portion of West Johnson Street is closed this week as City crews replace the brick pavers located in the crosswalks with red colored concrete.
