Alliant Energies continues to work diligently to reconnect the gas to homes that were disconnected yesterday and last night due to safety concerns involving the flooding. Any questions or issues should be reported to Alliant Energies at 800-255-4268. Alliant will be going door to door in areas to turn the gas services back on once it is safe to do so. They will need access to the home to reconnect the services. Those residents not home at the time will receive a door hanger with information on how to contact Alliant. If the home had water in the basement that went into the furnace, the residents will need to have a contractor inspect the gas appliances before the gas services can be turned back on. Attached is a list of area contractors.
