The Waupun School superintendent says new energy improvements will help save the school district money and protect the environment at  the same time.  The state’s Focus on Energy program presented the Waupun School  District this week with a ceremonial check totaling nearly $90,000  in energy-saving upgrades to lighting, heating and cooling systems at all district school buildings.  Superintendent Steve Hill says lighting improvements were made in all Waupun area school classrooms, office spaces, gymnasiums, locker rooms, and the newly constructed greenhouse and High School Tech Ed Center.  Hill says the upgrades will save the district nearly $80,000 in utility costs and have a major impact on the environment.
