4-27-18 jane doe remains exhumed

Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s investigators say they hope to have forensic test results back  before the end of the year on the remains of a cold case murder victim.  The remains of Jane Doe were exhumed from a Waupun cemetery Thursday morning.  Sheriff’s Lieutenant of Detectives Cameron McGee says investigators hope to learn where Jane Doe lived through an isotope analysis of her bones.  “We were able to successfully exhume Jane Doe from the grave.  She’s currently being examined at the medical examiner’s office,”  McGee told WFDL news.  “They’re going to take some bones from her and send them to a lab in Utah where it will be analyzed.”  McGee says the test results are expected in five to six months.  The remains were found by hunters in a creek in southern Fond du Lac County in 2008.
