The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says two men arrested following a high speed chase this week likely were involved in illegal drug trafficking in the county. The two men, one from Illinois and the other from Milwaukee, were arrested following the chase that started on Highway 151 and ended when the car crashed on Highway 49 in Brandon. Sheriff’s captain Ryan Waldschmidt says both men face drug-related charges. “I don’t think its a far stretch of the imagination to say they’re probably involved in the drug trade,” Waldschmidt told WFDL news. Waldschmidt says the vehicle was involved in prior chases in Fond du Lac County and Illinois over the past few months. “The fact that this car has been involved in chases as far south as Illinois, as far north as Fond du Lac; the car has been getting around in this region of the state. That leads you to believe that’s probably a high probability that they’re involved in drug trade.”
