Fond du Lac Public Works crews have been busy this week responding to several water main breaks in the city. Public Works director Jordan Skiff says the biggest break this week occurred at the intersection of Martin and Maona Avenues Wednesday morning. Skiff says crews are discovering that water pipes in that southeast neighborhood are experiencing problems. “This is a neighborhood where we are concerned that some of the pipe that was installed from the early 1960s does not work well with our types of soil,” Skiff told WFDL news. “We’re concerned that breaks like this will become more common.”
