Fond du Lac County is teaming up with Dodge County to expand services for treatment of opioid and methamphetamine addiction. Fond du Lac County Department of Community Programs AODA Coordinator Lynn Klapperich says the counties will be using the grant to contract with a program called Justice Point. “They will hire the staff and their staff will be out in the community working with the ERs, police, fire, individuals, families, treatment program and crisis intervention,” Klapperich told WFDL news. Klapperich says treatment would begin 24-48 hours after contact is made. She says Dodge County is considered and high need area and part of the problem in Dodge County is the distance residents must travel for help.
