A Madison teenager has received a lengthy prison sentence for shooting an assistant manager at the Beaver Dam Fleet Farm store two years ago. Nineteen year old Jared Spencer was sentenced Friday in Dodge County Court to 15 years in prison followed by 20 years of extended supervision in connection with the shooting of Andrew Kruse in July 2015. Dodge County District Attorney Kurt Klomberg says Spencer shot Kruse in the wrist and shoulder as he attempted to flee after shoplifting ammunition. Spencer fled south on Highway 151 and was later apprehended by Columbus police officers near State 73.
