4-18-17 fire destroys storage shed in dodge county

Nobody was injured in a fire that destroyed a large shed in Dodge County.  Firefighters were called to the scene on County Road A in the town of Trenton Tuesday morning.  Initially, one of the occupants was unaccounted for, but was soon located safe.  Firefighters arrived to find a 50’ x 200’ tool shed fully involved in fire.  The shed contained lawn tractors, and several other farm implements.  Crews were able to extinguish the fire before exposure buildings were damaged.    The shed and equipment is owned by John Ganske of Beaver Dam WI.  Beaver Dam Firefighters were assisted on scene via mutual aid from Burnett, Fox Lake, Horicon, Juneau, and Waupun. Watertown EMS and Hustisford Fire covered the City while all others were committed to the fire and handled one EMS call. Dodge County Sheriff Office assisted on scene.   The cause of the fire was investigated and it is listed as undetermined at this time. While the fire was stopped before the shed totally collapsed, the shed was a total loss.  Loss was estimated at $81,000.00.  Firefighters were on the scene for nearly three hours.
