Nobody was injured following a standoff with a car thief suspect in Fond du Lac. Shortly before 11:30 Wednesday morning LaCrosse police contacted Fond du Lac police regarding a vehicle that was reported stolen in LaCrosse and believed to be parked at an address in the 800 block of E. Division St. In addition to the stolen vehicle the suspect was wanted for Domestic Abuse – Battery, and Theft. Fond du Lac police found the stolen vehicle parked outside an apartment complex. Police say the suspect had barricaded himself in a bedroom closet in the apartment, but surrendered without further incident following a brief standoff. The 25 year old man was transported to the county jail.
