3-2-16 owi motorcycle crash-dodge county

Three Dodge County men were fortunate to escape serious injury in an alcohol-related motorcycle crash over the weekend.  Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says the crash happened shortly before 8pm Sunday on Grant Road near Highway P in the town of Rubicon.  Schmidt says a motorcycle that was westbound on Grant Road struck a motorcycle that had stopped in front of him.  Neither were wearing helmets and both men were transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Schmidt says the three friends apparently decided to drink alcohol before enjoying a motorcycle ride with the unseasonably warm temperatures.  Schmidt says driving a car while intoxicated is dangerous enough let alone trying to ride a motorcycle when you are impaired.  Twenty nine year old Jeremy Strehlow of Juneau was arrested for owi 3rd offense, 29 year old Nicholas Kadinger from Juneau was arrested for his 2nd owi and 39 year old Troy Emmrich of Juneau got his first owi.
