Fond du lac County officials are exploring an ordinance that would allow temporary signs to lower the speed limit in highway work zones. The county Traffic Safety commission will discuss the proposed ordinance at their meeting Tuesday. Sheriff’s captain Rick Olig says he thinks it’s a good idea. “The goal is to be able to take a look at a number of things like the location, how much traffic there is, what type of work is being done and what would be a prudent speed,” Olig told WFDL news.
