Fond du lac county residents who live near wind farms are again asking for a study on the impact wind turbines have on human health.  A small number of residents from the town of Marshfield braved the poor weather to attend a Fond du lac County Board of Health meeting Tuesday night to voice their concerns.   Larry Lamont says the turbines  have negatively impacted his health.  “Lack of sleep is the primary one, the red lights at night.  There’s nothing good with them,”  Lamont told WFDL news.  Joan Logterman has a turbine less than a thousand feet from her bedroom window and eight more within 2000 feet of her home.  “Its the noise, the pulsing sensation.  There’s a difference in the pressure waves,”  Logterman said.  Elizabeth Ebertz says she was a sound sleeper until the turbines were installed.   “I don’t know why I get woke up but I have a severe headache and I’m nauseous.”  Fond du lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says she would support a comprehensive health impact study conducted by the state or on a federal level.  Mueller says the question is whether the turbines are causing the health concerns expressed by the residents?  Mueller says at this time there is no definite proof that they are.  More than two years ago the county board approved a resolution asking for a state study, but money included in the state budget for a study was removed by the Jt. Finance committee last spring.
